Student Advisory Committee

Hannah You is a junior at Williamsville East High School and an active member of her school and community. She is the founder of #OurCommunity, a youth empowerment initiative under Bridges From Borders, where she serves as a Mental Health Ambassador and leads a project focused on cultural representation in children's literature.

Hannah is deeply involved in both school and community life. She has completed research internships with university labs, where she contributed to projects in cancer and AI research. Alongside research, she volunteers with the Amherst Youth Consortium, helping organize service events to support the local community. At school, Hannah is a committed member of several academic and leadership clubs including Science Olympiad, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Model United Nations. She has competed at state and national levels, and is a member of the All-American MUN Travel Team. On the athletic side, she is a Girls Varsity Tennis player and has helped her team reach the NYS Final Four. She also leads the newsletter board for Williamsville Music Boosters, managing communications for hundreds of families.

As she continues through high school, Hannah hopes to keep blending her interests in research, advocacy, and service to uplift others and build inclusive, connected communities
