BFB #TreeHollow

BFB’s #TreeHollow Program is part of our student empowerment programs which works to provide a safe space for local youth of multicultural backgrounds to explore their identities. Youth are provided with mental health support and have the opportunity to form connections based on empathy and understanding. and work to ultimately realize that “being yourself is good enough.”

This past 2022-2023 school year, students participated in a Healing-Centered Youth Workshop in partnership with the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF). Through a series of workshops during five weeks, youth participated in various activities to support mental health, promote racial healing and work toward racial equity. Stay tuned as BFB’s Student Mental Health Ambassadors will continue developing new ideas and activities in order to create that safe space for their peers.

Our Goal: Create a safe space for students of multicultural backgrounds to realize that “being yourself is good enough”.

Our Program: BFB provides the knowledge, tools, and skills for youth to be more engaged in their own healing in efforts to achieve racial equity in the long term.
