Moksh Gupta

Moksh Gupta is currently a freshman at Williamsville East High School, and he is a new addition to the Bridges from Border’s Student Advisory Committee. He has been recognized as a Mental Health Ambassador and is affiliated with numerous volunteering organizations such as the Amherst Youth Consortium(AYC), Amherst Youth Engaged in Service( Amherst YES), and AYLUS.


He has been recognized as an outstanding volunteer for the calendar year of 2022 with 25+ volunteer hours, and is aspiring to receive a Presidential Volunteer Service Award with 100+ volunteer hours in 2023. Moksh has won the Regional Future City Competition in 2022 where he and his team went on to the National Competition in Washington D.C. and won an award.


Moksh enjoys music as he plays the Alto Saxophone and the Piano where he has participated in the NYSSMA and ECMEA solo festivals. He is currently the Vice President of the Williamsville East High Concert Band and takes private lessons for the Alto Saxophone. Moksh has also played for the JV and Modified Volleyball teams. He is also involved with extra-curriculars such as Science Olympiad, Mock Trial, FBLA, and Model UN. Moksh’s culture is very important to him, so he tries to spread his culture through being Treasurer of the Indian Cultural Club at his school. Moksh was also a Leader of his Ride For Roswell team in 2023 where they raised thousands of dollars towards the Roswell Foundation.


As a part of BFB’s Student Advisory Committee, Moksh hopes to help spread awareness and diminish stereotypes related to people’s race and culture. He believes that breaking down these barriers will help foster a sense of inclusion among his community.
