Student Advisory Committee

Anjali Verma is currently a freshman student at Niagara University and a member of the Student Advisory Committee of Bridges From Borders. Anjali is an active volunteer member in her community for the Indian and Burmese community of Western New York. She is extremely passionate about mental health awareness and psychology, as that is her major in college currently. As an Asian woman herself, Anjali advocates learning diversity and inclusion and promoting it to those around her. In her experience working with Bridges from Boarders last year, she drew attention to presenting her final project on the upbringing of those in third world countries to shed light on the differences within the country she grew up in versus other ones with lots of different cultural experiences. As Anjali progresses through college, she hopes to continue to spread mental health awareness and the ideas of cultural diversity
