Student Advisory Committee

Amber Ren is currently a sophomore at Williamsville East high school and a member of the Student Advisory Committee of Bridges from Borders. She has received a bronze prize in the 2021-2022 Youth Achievement Competition for her project on recognizing and fixing the issues related to language learning.

Amber is passionate about preserving her culture especially as an Asian American. She particularly takes pride in being bilingual and in her Chinese proficiency. She has been an active participant of the Buffalo Chinese School for over ten years. As part of the Student Advisory committee, Amber hopes to help others stay in touch with their culture through language learning. She also hopes to inspire others to celebrate their own culture and promote cultural diversity.
