Mingyi attended Johnson & Wales University where she earned a master’s degree in Hospitality Management. She received a B.S. degree from Shanghai International Studies University majoring in International Economics and Trade. She also holds certificates from IMI Switzerland majoring in Tourism.

Mingyi is the founding board member for China-US Women’s Foundation - a nonprofit platform dedicated to the S.A.G.E initiatives to include: Social Medicine, Arts, Gender equality and Education.  She is a passionate advocate for youth mental health and have been working with award-winning organizations to help increase awareness on mental health.  Mingyi is also dedicated to wellness education and is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist coach. 

Mingyi worked in luxury hospitality industry in New York city, and with most recently as the VP of development for URBN Playground, a hospitality and technology firm dedicated to provide high-end lifestyle experiences to commercial, residential and hotel markets.
