Jacob Carroll was born and raised in Rome, Italy, to American parents. He grew up with an interest in the art, history, and literature that surrounded him. In college, he started to combine these interests with service: he became a writing tutor for high schoolers from underserved parts of Philadelphia who needed help on their college admissions essays. His interest in education lead him to become a middle school art teacher in the small town of Lake Village, Arkansas. Eventually, this lead to a Masters in Museums and Galleries in Education from the Institute of Education in London. Returning from this program, Jacob specialized in coaching and supporting teachers in the Humanities throughout Mississippi. Since then, Jacob has assumed an editorial position as an assessment specialist for Imagine Learning. He lives in Buffalo, New York.
