Maria was born and raised in Singapore and moved to the US while she was in college. Maria calls both the US and Singapore home, and lives in a home that embraces both cultures in an interracial family.

Maria graduated with a M.S in Mental Health Counseling from UB in 2020, and works with clients with serious mental illness, LGBTQ+, and immigrants and refugees. Maria has also worked with patients with serious mental illness back in Singapore and is currently practicing as a mental health counselor. She hopes to use this platform to reach out and work with clients from different immigrant backgrounds.
